Easy mode

For easy mode, simply have the child sort their toys by one category. This could be color, size, or type. Encourage them to look closely at their toys and group them accordingly.

Hard mode

For hard mode, challenge the child to sort their toys by two or more features. For example, they could sort by color and size. This will require them to think a little harder and make more complex decisions.

Challenge mode

For the ultimate challenge, encourage the child to make up their own categories and explain their sorting logic. This could be something like ‘toys that move fast’ or ‘toys that can talk’. This will really push their creative thinking and communication skills to the limit!
