Hard mode

As your child gets more comfortable with their scribbles, they can move on to the hard mode. Here, they’ll start copying real letters or names that they see around them. You can start with simple words or letters.

Challenge mode

In the challenge mode, your child will take their writing skills to the next level by composing ‘letters’ for their family members. They can then ‘mail’ these letters, practicing their communication skills too!

Some prompts to encourage the kid

  • Wow! You’re like a mini author with your writing!
  • Let’s see who you can write a letter to today!
  • Your scribbles are looking more like real letters every day!
  • I can’t wait to see what you’re going to write next!
  • Let’s pretend we’re postmen and deliver these letters!

Important things to keep in mind

  • Be patient and encouraging, as writing is a complex skill that takes time to develop
  • Encourage creativity and don’t worry too much about the letters being perfect
  • The focus here is on the process, not the product.
